Myles Lewis-Skelly makes transfer decision

Myles Lewis-Skelly has been linked with Manchester United again as questions continue over his future at Arsenal.

The 19-year-old is one of the most highly-rated young players in English football and can operate at both left-back and in central midfield.

He helped Arsenal win the Premier League last season and also started the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain.

Lewis-Skelly’s versatility has made him an interesting profile for Manchester United, who are still looking to strengthen Michael Carrick’s squad.

United have already signed Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans in midfield but are still working on adding another option.

The Red Devils have also explored a move for Newcastle United left-back Lewis Hall, although the Magpies have shown little willingness to sell.

Lewis-Skelly was offered to Manchester United and Chelsea again earlier today, according to reports.

This is not the first time United have been given the chance to sign him.

The Times previously reported that an intermediary offered Lewis-Skelly to United in January for around £60 million.

United decided against pursuing the deal at that price.

Fresh speculation has now emerged, but the player himself has made his position clear.

Lewis-Skelly makes clear decision over his future

According to The Athletic, Myles Lewis-Skelly wants to stay at Arsenal.

The report states that the England international is happy at the Emirates and is not exploring a move away this summer.

Instead, his focus is on establishing himself as a regular part of Mikel Arteta’s first-team plans.

Lewis-Skelly signed a long-term contract with Arsenal in the summer of 2025 and has started regularly during pre-season.

The Athletic also reports that Arsenal are not actively offering him for sale.

However, the club may still need to remain flexible before the transfer window closes as departures are expected.

Competition in midfield has also increased following Arsenal’s signing of Bruno Guimaraes.

For now, though, Lewis-Skelly appears determined to remain at his boyhood club despite fresh transfer interest and being offered to United and Chelsea.
