Napoli and Galatasaray Meet to Set Up Osimhen Deal

Galatasaray are making strides in their attempt to bring back Victor Osimhen on a permanent deal. Their vice-president, Abdullah Kavukcu, has flown to Milan along with intermediary George Gardi to get it done, Mediaset informs.

The Turkish team started lower but eventually matched his €75M release clause. However, they want to pay in more installments than the operation would normally dictate. The two teams are negotiating on that front.

Galatasaray convened with Napoli after concurring with Osimhen on a four-year contract with €16M annual wages. He has been courted by Al-Hilal throughout the summer. However, he never gave his final okay to the move to Saudi Arabia, even though they put €40M per year on the table.

Juventus have been routinely linked to him, but the Scudetto wingers would pose even more difficult conditions for them. His release clause, which will expire on July 15^th, doesn’t work for Italian teams. They would have asked for about €100M to send him to their rivals.

The Partenopei would reignite their Darwin Nunez pursuit should everything go planned. The deal could negatively impact Inter. The Cimbom might refrain from offering a lot for Hakan Calhanoglu after such a mammoth disbursement.

It’d be great news for Napoli if it went through quickly, as it’d augment their already substantial firepower. Deals of this magnitude rarely happen without a hitch, even more so with these two teams involved. The buyers might have a vested interest in letting the deadline pass so they are no longer bound by those terms. On the other hand, everything is easier if the player has made up is mind, which does appear to be the case.
