Napoli have barged into the race to acquire Giovane from Hellas Verona, but Lazio have been working on it for longer and have more freedom to operate than the competitors. The Azzurri need to sell before making any additions.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Partenopei are in advanced talks with Galatasaray for Noa Lang. The sides have concurred on a €30/32M package. The Italian side is trying to obtain a permanent formula, so they can unlock some immediate signings.
Napoli are in touch with Verona and the Giovane camp, but Lazio will try to seal the deal this week to avoid being overtaken, Alfredo Pedullà reports. They have proposed sending Reda Belhayane back to Scaligeri, but the operation could proceed without him. The two clubs aren’t aligned on the midfielders’ valuation.
The Brazilian striker is worth €18/20M. The reigning Scudetto champions would be able to onboard him only on loan if they didn’t cash in on anybody. Instead, the Biancocelesti have money to spend after selling Taty Castellanos and Matteo Guendouzi. They are open for business also for Matteo Cancellieri, Gustav Isaksen, Boulaye Dia, and Tijjani Noslin, who have foreign suitors.
He’s an easy fit on most teams since he can handle multiple attacking roles and has interplayed well with all sorts of partners. It’d be very interesting to see him in Maurizio Sarri’s system, who is better at grooming talents. While he’d have a bigger role in Rome, the Partenopei have more prestige. Still, given their difficulties, it’d be a tough look for the Biancocelesti if they were beaten to the punch.
