Napoli have confirmed this morning that Italian winger Matteo Politano has signed a new deal at the club, renewing with the Neapolitan side until June 2028.

In a statement published on their official website, Napoli announced the extension and congratulated him for his years of service.

The news arrives after last night’s 3-2 win over Pisa, with the Napoli number 21 playing 90 minutes.

Matteo Politano – Napoli career so far

Matteo Politano joined Napoli on loan with an obligation-to-buy in 2020 from Inter.

Politano had only spent two years in Nerazzurri colours after his move from Sassuolo in 2018, playing 63 times for Inter in all competitions.

The Italian forward settled in nicely in Naples though, with the current campaign his seventh season with the club.

Politano has played 238 times in all competitions for the Neapolitan outfit, scoring 34 goals and providing a further 35 assists.

In his trophy cabinet, the Italian has two Scudetti (in 2022-23 and 2024-25), as well as the 2019-20 Coppa Italia. Politano has also played four times for the national team so far in 2025, his joint-record for caps in a single year.
