Reports in Italy claim that Napoli now have an agreement on personal terms with Italy international Lorenzo Lucca, but the Partenopei still need to find a formal agreement with his current employers, Udinese.
Napoli have already become one of the busier clubs in the Serie A transfer market this summer, and have already welcomed their first new arrival of the summer in the form of six-time Premier League winner Kevin De Bruyne, who was officially announced on Thursday.
The Partenopei are also closing in on an agreement with Milan for USMNT midfielder Yunus Musah, are pushing for the arrival of Juanlu from Sevilla and are also pushing for Sam Beukema from Bologna in a summer transfer window that could bring seven or eight new signings according to Alfredo Pedullà.
According to reports from Sky Sport Italia on Thursday evening, Napoli now have an agreement in place with Lucca, but the Partenopei have not yet settled on a final agreement with Udinese.
Representatives from the two clubs are due to speak next week as Napoli look to close a deal.
