Thursday’s reports claim that Napoli have now reached a verbal agreement to sign Miguel Gutierrez on a permanent deal from LaLiga outfit Girona, and are hoping to make it a double deal with the arrival of compatriot Juanlu Sanchez from Sevilla.

Napoli agree fee for Girona’s Gutierrez

Napoli, who have already welcomed Kevin De Bruyne, Noa Lang, Sam Beukema, Luca Marianucci and Vanja Milinkovic-Savic this summer, are closing in on two more arrivals to strengthen Antonio Conte’s Scudetto-winning squad.

According to reports from Fabrizio Romano , the Partenopei have a verbal agreement over a transfer fee worth €18m plus bonuses for 24-year-old left-back Miguel Gutierrez, who came through the youth ranks at Real Madrid.

Juanlu has already stated his preference to joining Napoli this window and has already given his approval to a long-term, five-year contract that will run until the summer of 2030 assuming the deal goes through.

The aforementioned Real Madrid have a buy-back clause for Gutierrez, but are not expected to activate that option. Once that decision is confirmed, Napoli are expected to proceed with the final formalities of the deal.

Napoli will also strengthen at the other side of full-back with the addition of right-sided defender Juanlu after increasing their offer to €16m-€17m according to various reports on Wednesday.
