Napoli provide possible escape route for Chelsea player who’s disappointed with the club

Napoli could end up providing another escape route for one player who has become unhappy with the club this window.

Chelsea have a lot of situations to sort out right now and a lot of deals to get done that they have been working on.

One player who will not be leaving or moving even on loan is midfielder Andrey Santos. Fabrizio Romano has said that it would take an ‘out of market’ offer for Chelsea to sell Santos this window.

But a midfielder who is up for sale and expected to leave the club this window is Carney Chukwuemeka who has plenty of links to Dortmund after spending the season on loan there last season.

But he’s not happy with the club at all at the moment and does not like how he has been treated, according to a report from Germany yesterday.

It’s always assumed that it will be Dortmund or nowhere for Carney, but Napoli could end up providing another option for him.

Chukwuemeka to Napoli?

According to journalist Matteo Moretto, who has been speaking on Fabrizio Romano’s Italian YouTube channel this week, Napoli are keen on Chukwuemeka.

He said:

“Carney Chukwuemeka is one of three midfielders Napoli are considering to make a move for and they have started sounding him out.”

Can’t see it

I don’t think a move to Napoli will happen because he seemingly only wants to go to Dortmund. However, he may soon run out of options and one of them is surely to not stay and rot in the Chelsea U21s so I guess anywhere is better than staying at Stamford Bridge this month.
