Scott McTominay trained with the rest of the team on Monday on the eve of a Champions League game against PSV Eindhoven, but Rasmus Hojlund remained on the sidelines and will miss the trip to the Netherlands.
Napoli star McTominay is expected to be available for selection on Tuesday when the Partenopei visit Dutch side PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League Round 3.
The Scotland international missed Saturday’s 1-0 loss against Torino due to an ankle injury, but, as reported by Il Mattino and other Italian sources, he regularly trained with the rest of the team on Monday morning.
McTominay had had three stitches in his ankle after a challenge in training last week and was left out of the travelling squad in Turin.
Hojlund also missed the match due to muscle fatigue, but the former Manchester United striker is still not fit to play and won’t be part of the team tomorrow.
Napoli have earned three points in the opening two Champions League games and will host direct Serie A rivals Inter in the next Serie A match on Saturday.
