Napoli have submitted a first offer for Milan midfielder Yunus Musah, reports from Italy claim, with the Neapolitan side eager to beat the likes of Nottingham Forest to the player’s signature.
According to what has been reported by the Gazzetta dello Sport , Napoli have made an offer of €22 million plus bonuses for the former Arsenal and Valencia player.
Juventus midfielder Fabio Miretti had been increasingly linked with Antonio Conte’s side in the last couple of weeks but with the club’s renewed interest in Musah, the young Italian has been placed on the back-burner.
It is not the first time that Napoli have been engaged with a transfer battle with Premier League club Forest this summer. Dan Ndoye left Bologna to join the English side this summer, after Napoli were also interested in the Swiss international.
However, Gazzetta claim that Napoli hold the advantage this time as the player would prefer to stay in Italy. Despite the financial power of the Premier League club, the player’s desire may help tip the balance in the direction of Conte’s side.
