Napoli are in early negotiations for versatile Ajax attacking winger Mika Godts, according to reports in Belgium.

Transfer pundit Sacha Tavolieri claims there has been an approach and the two clubs are in talks, but still a very long way from reaching any kind of agreement.

Napoli believe in Godts potential

The player can do a job on the left or right, as well as in a deeper trequartista role behind the striker, making him a valuable tactical Joker in the pack for Antonio Conte.

He only celebrated his 20th birthday in June and came up originally through the KRC Genk youth academy, before moving to the Ajax school in January 2023.

Godts contributed an impressive eight goals and seven assists in 47 competitive games for Ajax last season, largely playing on the left wing of a trident attack.

His arrival could well be seen as a replacement for Giacomo Raspadori, who was just sold to Atletico Madrid in a deal worth €26m including add-ons.

Napoli have already poached from the Dutch Eredivisie this summer, swooping for PSV Eindhoven winger Noa Lang.
