Nottingham Forest have reportedly started talks with Dan Ndoye over personal terms, but like Napoli, have not yet agreed a fee with Bologna.

The attacking winger impressed last term with eight goals and four assists in 30 Serie A appearances, also helping them to win the Coppa Italia.

He had been heavily linked with Napoli for many months, but while he seems eager to make the move to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, Bologna are not prepared to let him leave for cheap.

Ndoye open to either transfer

Now there has been a sudden twist in the tale with multiple sources including Sky Sport Italia and Sky Sports Deutschland reporting this evening that Nottingham Forest agreed personal terms for a five-year contract.

The problem remains the same, which is that Bologna have not even received a formal offer yet and are in no particular mood to sell, especially after accepting Sam Beukema’s transfer to Napoli.

It remains to be seen if the proposal will be sufficient to change their minds, and if both the bids are similar, whether Ndoye would prefer Napoli or Nottingham Forest.

The 24-year-old Switzerland international has also been linked with Borussia Dortmund so far this summer.
