Jose Mourinho remains one of the most successful managers in modern football and is remembered fondly by many Manchester United supporters.
The Portuguese coach spent more than two years at Old Trafford, guiding the club to the Europa League, League Cup and Community Shield during his spell in charge.
Earlier this summer, Mourinho returned to Real Madrid after being officially appointed as the Spanish club’s new head coach for a second time.
His managerial career has taken him across Europe, with successful spells at Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Manchester United.
Few managers have built a legacy quite like Mourinho’s, with the 63-year-old winning league titles and major trophies in several different countries.
Now, supporters have another opportunity to look back on one of football’s most iconic careers.
Netflix has officially released MOURINHO, a brand-new documentary series centred on the former Manchester United manager.
The streaming platform confirmed the release through its official YouTube channel, publishing the first trailer alongside details of the new series.
Netflix describes the production as a “trophy-packed, insider-fuelled documentary” that follows Mourinho’s rise to becoming one of football’s most successful managers.
The documentary features exclusive access to Mourinho and reflects on his journey through some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Manchester United.
The release follows earlier reports that Netflix had been producing a documentary focused on the Portuguese coach’s life and career.
During his time at Old Trafford between 2016 and 2018, Mourinho lifted three major trophies and guided United back into the Champions League by winning the Europa League.
His spell also included EFL Cup success and victory in the Community Shield before he departed the club in December 2018.
Now back at Real Madrid for a second spell as manager, Jose Mourinho has another major challenge ahead of him.
However, supporters can now revisit every stage of his remarkable managerial career through Netflix’s newly released documentary series.
