Denzel Dumfries has been offered to Barcelona by Jorge Mendes, with Inter Milan worried about losing the Dutchman.
This according to Spanish outlet SPORT, via FCInter1908. They claim that the Nerazzurri are expecting to lose Dumfries due to his release clause.
Inter Milan are considering the possibility that they could lose Denzel Dumfries this summer.
The Nerazzurri will not lose the Dutchman for free. He signed a contract extension last year.
However, that new deal includes a release clause of €25 million.
Moreover, Inter are aware that Dumfries is not altogether happy with the harsh words from Inter captain Lautaro Martinez last week.
Then, there is the fact that Dumfries has changed his agent to Jorge Mendes. That could very well be a signal of intent to leave the club this summer.
And according to SPORT, Mendes has offered Dumfries directly to Barcelona.
The agent has recently held transfer talks with the Blaugranas. And SPORT report that Dumfries was one of the main names that emerged in the talks.
Barcelona are fans of the Netherlands international. They are aiming to strengthen on the right flank with an attacking full-back, and have already targeted Jeremie Frimpong before his move to Liverpool.
However, Barcelona have limited financial resources. And they are also prioritizing an attacking winger.
Nevertheless, SPORT report, Inter feel that there is a good chance that they will lose Dumfries for his release clause.
The outlet anticipate that Barcelona and Manchester City are both keen on the former PSV wingback.
