Cristian Chivu has not enjoyed a memorable start to his managerial career at Inter Milan by any stretch of the imagination.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInter1908, the 44-year-old is laying the groundwork for Inter’s resurgence after a mixed start.

Though it’s been just four matchdays into the new season, Inter are already lagging six points behind leaders Napoli.

Indeed, Chivu’s charges had slumped to two consecutive defeats before beating Sassuolo 2-1 on Monday.

Therefore, the margin for error is already slim.

Moreover, he wants Inter not to think much about the distance between themselves and Napoli.
