Newcastle United have entered the frame to sign Celtic winger Nicolas Kühn. The German attacker impressed in the first half of last season as Brendan Rodgers’ side regained the League Cup and made it four Premiership titles in a row.
Now, Eddie Howe’s Magpies are reportedly considering Kühn as they look to strengthen ahead of the new campaign. Howe brought silverware back to St James’ Park with a League Cup win in March but with this success comes increased expectations.
As reported by Chronicle Live, Newcastle are interested in signing the 25-year-old.
The quoted price appears to have been lifted from elsewhere, £15m seems very cheap for a player with four years remaining on his contract.
The Scottish Champions could be willing to discuss a deal for the player if they are to receive offers in excess of £20m, especially if the attacker is eager to make a switch after just one and a half years in Glasgow.
Since signing from Rapid Vienna in January 2024, Kühn has scored 24 goals and assisted 18 times in 69 appearances for the club, helping Celtic to win four trophies. Kühn was a standout in the Champions League, including goals against RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich.
