Neymar Jr. Suffers Setback Before FIFA World Cup 2026

Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti has announced the Brazil squad for the friendly matches this month against France and Croatia.

This set of games appears to be the last chance for players who have not received a call-up by Ancelotti in previous matches. Neymar Jr. did not play under Ancelotti, nor has he received a call-up to the national team since his arrival last year.

Carlo Ancelotti's Brazil Squad List for March

Carlo Ancelotti did not call up Neymar for the matches against France and Croatia, which will be played in a few weeks. Ancelotti has called up players from previous squads and new players.

Ancelotti made it clear that he called up players who are fit enough to play the matches this month.

This squad list has concerned fans who want Neymar to play for Brazil in the 2026 World Cup. Neymar played against Corinthians last night in the 2026 Brasileirão.

Neymar provided an assist in Santos FC's 1-1 draw with Corinthians and played the full match.
