‘No doubt’: Neville urges Ten Hag to start two players who can ‘cause Man City problems’ in final

Manchester United are gearing up for a second successive FA Cup final against holders and fierce rivals Manchester City.

The two clubs lock horns again at Wembley this Saturday afternoon in a tie that has much more than just silverware on the line.

City enter the clash on the back of being crowned Premier League champions for the fourth season in a row, becoming the first club in history to do so.

On the other hand, we’re all well aware that United’s season ended woefully in comparison to their cross-city rivals; the Reds recorded their lowest-ever finish of the Premier League era in eighth, 31 points away from the eventual winners.

Still, reigning victorious this weekend would have the United faithful on cloud nine heading into the summer break. Combine that with the prospect of a first transfer window under Sir Jim Ratcliffe, and the atmosphere could quickly transition from dejected to optimistic around Old Trafford.

Neville details his preferred midfield and frontline

Previewing the highly-anticipated fixture on this week’s instalment of Stick to Football, Gary Neville revealed how he’d like to see the Reds shape up in a way that could best damage their opponents.

“Is there a way of getting Bruno [Fernandes], [Scott] McTominay, [Kobbie] Mainoo and [Sofyan] Amrabat into the same midfield somehow?” the former skipper questioned. “And then having [Marcus] Rashford and [Rasmus] Hojlund. There’s no doubt Rashford and Hojlund can cause Man City problems in moments in games, they can.”
