San Siro remains the subject of political debate after the City Council vote that approved the sale of the stadium and the surrounding land to Inter and Milan.
A key document with the resolution has revealed that only the two clubs have presented an official proposal since 2019.
According to Calcio e Finanza, the City of Milan never received alternative proposals regarding San Siro between 2019 and 2025.
The document makes clear that no other organisations expressed interest in acquiring or managing the stadium.
Even after meetings in 2022 with companies involved in concerts and events, no formal project was submitted.
Despite access to stadium documents being granted in 2023, no plans arrived at Palazzo Marino.
As a result, Inter and Milan remain the only entities committed to investing in San Siro’s future.
On Monday, the City Council approved the sale after voting on the proposal and amendments went well into the night.
