Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has stressed a message of “no regrets” to his squad in the run-in of the Serie A title race.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

This is it for Inter Milan.

The Nerazzurri play their penultimate Serie A match of the season against Lazio this evening. Then, they’ll face Como in their final match of the campaign.

Meanwhile, Napoli will take on Parma this evening. Their last match comes against Cagliari.

Inter know the situation well.

If Napoli are to slip up and drop points, Inter can get in ahead of them. If the Partenopei win their two remaining matches they will be champions.

Inzaghi Tells Inter Milan “No Regrets” Ahead Of Serie A Title Run-In

According to the Corriere, Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has given his squad a clear and resounding message.

Inter are fully aware of the fact that their fate is not in their own hands. At least not entirely.

If Napoli are to win their two last matches, then they will deservedly be champions.

But the Partenopei could certainly drop points. They have been far from convincing in many of their recent performances – not least a 2-2 draw against Genoa last weekend.

And the last thing Simone Inzaghi wants is for Napoli to stumble and Inter to fail to capitalize.

Losing the title to Napoli because the league leaders keep their nerve and win out wouldn’t be a major regret for Inter.

However, if the Nerazzurri lose focus and motivation and fail to capitalize on a slip-up by Napoli, it would be a gigantic regret.

Therefore, that is Inzaghi’s message to his squad. He wants them to go all the way right to the end, no matter what. From then, there can be no regrets.
