Luis Palma has no future at the club, its best for all if he moves on, preferably permanently or if need be temporarily on another loan deal…
There’s been rumours doing the rounds on social media courtesy of a Honduran outlet that has suggested that Luis Palma could well be handed a second chance to impress Brendan Rodgers.
That sent shivers down the spine of the more critical element of the Celtic support who want to see quality additions arrive, and players such as Luis Palma who has already failed to take his chance heading for the exit door.
That rumour though seems to be wide of the mark with the club very much looking to move the Honduran international on, either permanently or on loan this summer.
Luis Palma spent the second part of last season on loan to eventual Greek champions Olympiacos but failed to make an impression being restricted to just 12 appearances and scoring just the one goal.
Luis is a decent enough player but nothing more. To make the grade at Celtic as a wide player under Brendan Rodgers you need to have pace, be capable of beating your man and show one hundred percent commitment at all times, and unfortunately Luis doesn’t possess any of those traits.
It’s the best in the long run for both player and club if he finds a new challenge. Let’s hope something comes to fruition in the coming weeks for everyone’s benefit including Luis who is a lovely guy and deserves to be at a club where he is going to get plenty of minutes. That isn’t Celtic.
