It appears that Red Bull New York center-back Noah Eile is on his way to Bristol City.
The 23-year-old has been linked with a move away from Sports Illustrated Stadium, and the EFL Championship side is ready to pay $4.2 million to bring the 6-foot-5 Swede to Ashton Gate.
According to football insider Fabrizio Romano, Eile has accepted Bristol City’s proposal.
“Excl: Bristol City closing in on deal to sign Noah Eile from Red Bull New York for $4.2m total package,” Romano posted on Twitter/X. “23 year old defender already said yes.”

Eile was an important member of the Red Bulls’ back line last season. He made 36 appearances for New York across all competitions.
His imminent move to Bristol City would leave the Red Bulls very short of depth in central defense.
Robert Voloder and Tim Parker are the only natural center-backs on New York’s first team roster. Dylan Nealis has played centrally, but he spent the majority of last season at right-back.
Experienced center-backs Andrés Reyes and Sean Nealis left the club in recent offseasons.
Red Bulls head of sport Julian de Guzman will need to make several defensive signings as New York’s February 21st MLS season opener away to Orlando City draws near.
Bristol City currently sits in ninth place in the EFL Championship. Friday’s 5-0 home defeat to Derby County underlined the need for defensive reinforcements.
Eile’s arrival could be a big boost to the Robins’ hopes of qualifying for the EFL Championship playoffs. His aerial presence and ball-playing ability are impressive, and he has developed in an upward trend in his two seasons at Red Bull New York.
He has made 10 appearances for Sweden's under-21 team. It wouldn't be surprising if Eile soon makes his Swedish senior team debut.
