Tottenham Hotspur attacker Son Heung-min has been linked with a move away from the club during the summer transfer window.
According to Dean Jones, the player has attracted interest from Saudi Arabia, and he looks set to leave the club. The 32-year-old South Korean has been an exceptional performer for Tottenham over the years. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham are willing to sanction his departure.
Jones told Transfers From Paradise: “One man who could be joining him in the Saudi Pro League is Son Heung-min.
“He looks set to leave Spurs, which is no major surprise as that has been mooted for a while. One thing Spurs lose if he goes is experience that could be key for a Champions League campaign.”
Even though he has entered the twilight stages of his career, he could still be a very useful player for Tottenham with his quality and experience. Apart from that, he is one of the leaders of the dressing room as well.
The North London outfit are already lacking in depth when it comes to the attacking unit, and it will be interesting to see if they are willing to let the South Korean move on. Ideally, Tottenham should look to hold onto him for another season at the very least, as they look to rebuild the attacking unit.
Son scored 11 goals last season and picked up 11 assists as well.
Meanwhile, Cristian Romero has been linked with a move away from the club as well. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham sanction the departure of two players in one window.
They had a disappointing Premier League campaign last year, and they will look to bounce back strongly. Keeping their best players will certainly help them do well next season.
