Aston Villa star Jacob Ramsey needs to make a decision as Tottenham and Nottingham Forest fight for his signature

Tottenham are looking to bring in a versatile attacker that could either operate as a left-winger, or as a number ten under Thomas Frank. The Lilywhites want to bolster their squad depth for next season as the Danish tactician aims to compete on all four fronts. The North London club needs to act fast if they want to sign their intended targets before the pre-season commence in a weeks’ time.

Spurs recently confirmed the arrival of Mohammed Kudus from West Ham in a high-profile deal. Daniel Levy instantly followed that up by triggering the release clause for Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White. However, a deal to land the England international is not as easy as it sounds. Forest have lodged a legal complaint against the Lilywhites and accused Levy of breaching the contractual agreement details.

Now, the North London club must look to shift their focus elsewhere if they cannot land the Nottingham Forest star. The Lilywhites have already identified other alternatives, but Daniel Levy would need to act quick if he wants to sign a player and not risk the possibility of losing out on other options.

Tottenham might miss out on Aston Villa star Jacob Ramsey

Tottenham are finding life tough as they look to find loopholes and land Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White in the summer. The Lilywhites have other options lined up; in case Daniel Levy fails to agree a deal for the 25-year-old. With the new season approaching quickly, Spurs do not have time to waste as they look to kickstart a new era at N17.

It was reported earlier that Tottenham were interested in signing Aston Villa star Jacob Ramsey in the summer. The 24-year-old is unhappy at Villa Park, and has fallen down the pecking order under Unai Emery. The aforementioned report also stated that the Lilywhites have spoken to the player’s agents in the hopes of striking a deal to land the versatile attacker.

However, there is a new twist in the transfer saga involving the Englishman. As per The Telegraph, Nottingham Forest have entered the race for Ramsey’s signature, and have made the 24-year-old their ‘number one’ target for next season. The report also states that Forest are willing to offer the Villa star regular game time and a chance to play week in week out in the Premier League.

This might be a blessing in disguise for Tottenham though. If Nottingham Forest are aiming to land Jacob Ramsey in the summer, that only indicates that Morgan Gibbs-White’s transfer to N17 is imminent. The Lilywhites have nothing to lose in this scenario, as Forest will not be looking to have both players in their ranks for next season due to their similar game-style.
