Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has decided to start Josep Martinez and Davide Frattesi in attack against AC Milan. This evening’s Coppa Italia semi-final clash kicks off at 21.00 CET.

This evening, Inter Milan take on Milan in a mouth-watering Coppa Italia semi-final tie. The last time that the Nerazzurri and the Biancocelesti met, it ended in a 1-1 draw in the Serie A.

For Inter, this evening is a chance to reach the Coppa Italia grand final for the third time in the last four editions.

Meanwhile, Milan will be out to extend their three-game unbeaten run against the reigning Scudetto holders.

Moreover, this will be Inter’s penultimate warm-up ahead of next week’s Champions League clash against Bayern Munich.

Therefore, it is little surprise to see Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi name a mixed starting eleven.

Josep Martinez & Davide Frattesi Start – Lautaro Martinez Out Injured

Striker Lautaro Martinez is not fit for tonight’s game. The Argentine talisman has failed to recover from a muscle injury.

Therefore, El Toro is on the sidelines for this evening’s match.

Accordingly, it is Joaquin Correa who starts for Inter. The Iranian international leads the line alongside Marcus Thuram.

Furthermore, that means Nerazzurri veteran Marko Arnautovic drops to the bench.

Otherwise, though, there are few surprises.

Firstly, Yann Sommer surrenders his place between the sticks as Josep Martinez starts in goal.

Then, in defense Stefan de Vrij gets the nod ahead of Francesco Acerbi after starting on the bench against Udinese last weekend.

Then, flanking De Vrij in the back three are Alessandro Bastoni and Yann Bisseck.

Meanwhile, in midfield, Hakan Calhanoglu and Nicolo Barella start in the midfield.

Furthermore, Davide Frattesi completes the midfield rotation in the starting XI.

Lastly, on the flanks Matteo Darmian and Federico Dimarco start, with the former replacing Denzel Dumfries on the right.
