As per the latest exciting update delivered by reliable journalist David Ornstein, Tottenham Hotspur are advancing in talks to seal a double deal for Manchester City forwards Savinho and Omar Marmoush.
Savinho has been a long-term target for Tottenham, who have had him on their radar since last summer. Spurs rekindled their interest this transfer window, but have yet to get a deal done for the Brazil international. He has a contract at the Etihad Stadium until 2031, but has also had limited chances.
Meanwhile, Omar Marmoush has also been linked with a move to N17 this summer. He joined Manchester City from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2025 but has struggled for game time, sitting firmly behind Erling Haaland in the pecking order. Neither the Egyptian international nor Savinho started in Man City’s 3-0 defeat to Arsenal in the Community Shield in Cardiff.
Roberto De Zerbi is looking to strengthen his forward line and continue his expensive revamp of a squad who narrowly beat the drop last season. The Italian tactician is interested in a sensational double swoop for Savinho and Marmoush to add flair, creativity, dynamism and goals to Spurs’ attack.
Now, according to a report from The Standard, Marmoush has already decided to leave City this summer, despite Pep Guardiola’s exit and Enzo Maresca replacing the Spaniard in the hotseat. The 27-year-old has become frustrated with the lack of opportunities and tumbled further down the pecking order following Antoine Semenyo’s arrival from Bournemouth in January.
Maresca stuck with Haaland up against Arsenal in the Community Shield, and when the Norwegian star looked out of sorts, Marmoush was brought in to add some spark in attack. Eventually, the Egyptian could not conjure up anything significant, as the Sky Blues were beaten fair and square by the Gunners.

De Zerbi promised a “bomba” signing in late July, and Spurs fans have been left waiting for who that might be. Technically, Tottenham are advancing in talks with City over a double deal for Savinho and Marmoush.
Recent reports suggest the Cityzens want £85million if they are to part ways with Savinho. For Marmoush, who joined in a £59million deal from Frankfurt last January, could cost around £56million. That sums up to £141million, which would take the North London club’s summer spending past £370million.
Nothing is finalised at this stage; however, talks are understood to be advancing.
