Tottenham has landed another big player in this summer’s transfer market to collaborate with existing stars, and the new man Mohammed Kudus. Xavi Simons, who is just 22 years of age, looks the absolute business, and great value at the reported €60 million, as reported by David Ornstein of The Athletic, this morning.

Spurs have been bumbling along this summer, having begun brightly, but then essentially fallen into a vat of treacle, becoming embroiled in deals that either turned out to be a hoax or took forever, only to end in sorrow. Morgan Gibbs-White was a waste of everybody’s time. Forest’s owner appeared to be stunned that his release fee had been met, yet what was the point of having one in the first place? The player eventually announced that he was staying where he was, after extending his existing deal by just a year. Hardly a ringing endorsement for the Marinakis project.
Then we had the Eberechi Eze saga; a player who was seemingly excited by a move to Tottenham, right up until he was offered a deal with his boyhood club, Arsenal. The depression that was caused across the Lilywhite fan base was frankly debilitating.
Tottenham were said to be interested in others barely worth mentioning, given the unsubstantiated nature of the talk. Nico Paz and Piero Hincapie, to name just two. Savhino from Manchester City was another deal that seemed to be beset with difficulties.

Another penned:
David Orstein, bomba! My eyes have seen the glory.
One supporter was simply relieved, saying:
Oh, well should have done the deal sooner, but I’m not going to complain about not getting a backup attacking midfielder. It helps Spurs, that’s mildly annoying, but whatever.
