Palmeiras won’t accept less than €30m for Richard Rios and have therefore rejected the latest offers from Roma, Wolverhampton and Nottingham Forest.
Brazilian side Palmeiras have rejected the latest three offers for their midfielder Rios, sources with direct knowledge of the matter tell me and Gianluigi Longari.
Roma, Wolverhampton and Nottingham Forest sent an offer each on Sunday, but their proposals, all below €30m, were rejected by Palmeiras.
Wolves offered €25m and Forest’s bid was set just a bit higher at €26m.
Palmeiras, however, have set Rios’ price tag at €30m as a fixed fee plus add-ons.
Roma had promised a €25m offer plus €5m add-ons, but still not enough to match Palmeiras’ demands.
Rios has emerged as one of Roma’s priority targets to strengthen their midfield in the 2025-26 campaign.
The Giallorossi started the pre-season on Sunday, July 13, 2025, under the guidance of their new tactician.
Their first Serie A game of the season is against Bologna at the Stadio Olimpico on August 23.
