Despite interest from Cremonese, Parma have decided to sell Romania international Valentin Mihaila to Rizespor for €2m plus a percentage of the future fee.

It had been clear for a while that the 25-year-old was not part of the plans for this season at the Stadio Tardini.

There were suggestions he could remain in Serie A with Cremonese and Lecce both showing an interest in the attacking winger.

Rizespor do the deal for Mihaila

However, multiple sources report that a deal was struck with Turkish team Caykur Rizespor and Mihaila is flying out to complete his medical tests before the weekend.

It is a permanent sale for €2m plus a percentage of the future sell-on fee.

The player has agreed personal terms on a four-year contract worth circa €1.2m per season.

A product of the Craiova youth academy, he has been at Parma since a €9.1m move in 2020, having a brief six-month spell on loan at Atalanta in 2022.
