Tottenham Hotspur entertained Liverpool at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier this evening as they looked to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. Spurs made a slow start to the game and found themselves at a numerical disadvantage in the 33rd minute when the referee showed Xavi Simons a red card. Thomas Frank’s men went into the half-time break with a 0-0 scoreline.

Alexander Isak scored the opener in the 56th minute with a good finish. Alexander Isak doubled his team’s advantage just ten minutes later. Richarlison got a goal back for the North London club late in the game before Cristian Romero was sent off as well in injury time. The match ended with Tottenham suffering a tough 2-1 loss in front of their home fans.

Vicario made a couple of solid saves during the game, but would not be pleased after conceding twice in the second half.

He caught the eye at times on both halves.

CM: Rodrigo Bentancur – 6.5/10

Bentancur worked hard defensively and managed to shine at times in the Liverpool half.

CM: Archie Gray – 6.5/10

He did his fair share of defending but offered very little going forward.

RW: Mohammed Kudus – 6/10

Kudus made one promising run with the ball, but never looked like he would score.

CAM: Lucas Bergvall – 6/10

He was quiet for most of his time on the field.

LW: Xavi Simons – 5/10

Simons made a slow start to the game and let his teammates down after getting sent off in the 33rd minute.

ST: Randal Kolo Muani – 6/10

He got himself into some dangerous areas up top but failed to find the back of the net.

He made one key chance in the final third.

CM: Joao Palhinha – 6/10

His impact on the game was minimal.

He struggled to influence the game.
