Liam Rosenior has a tricky team to pick today, with players missing and a big game this weekend to come.
Chelsea taken on PSG tonight knowing that it will be almost impossible to overturn the 5-2 aggregate score, but also knowing they need to play for some pride after two damaging defeats last week.
It puts Liam Rosenior in a tricky position – he needs to pick his strongest team, but knows that a win at the weekend is even more critical.
It’s a very hard line-up to predict, therefore.
In goal we think he sticks with Robert Sanchez, thanks to Filip Jorgensen’s very conveniently timed injury.
Reece James is out and Malo Gusto has had an illness, so we assume it will be Josh Acheampong at right back, with Trevoh Chalobah alongside Mamadou Sarr centrally. Marc Cucurella should be fit for another start on the left.
In midfield, we should see Moises Caicedo with Andrey Santos, although Romeo Lavia is also an option.
Then in attack we’ll probably see Pedro Neto on one side, Enzo Fernandez centrally and Cole Palmer on the right, with Joao Pedro leading the line.
Axel Disasi also hit back at some of his critics in the same interview, pointing out that some people had been doubting whether he’d be able to get back to his best quickly after so long out.
