The end of the Premier League season is now well in sight. Arsenal gained an edge over Manchester City in the title race, while Tottenham Hotspur overtook West Ham United in the relegation battle. That aside, who were this week’s top individual performers?

We’ve included players from teams such as Brentford, Bournemouth and Newcastle United in our latest team of the week XI – let’s see who made the final cut.

GK: Caoimhin Kelleher

One of the most under-appreciated goalkeepers in the world right now, Caoimhin Kellher turned out another textbook display between the sticks against West Ham in a thumping 3-0 win.

Brentford largely controlled the outing, but the Irish international still had plenty of work to do. He made four saves against the Hammers en route to maintaining his clean sheet.

RB: Keane Lewis-Potter

Another Brentford player, Keane Lewis-Potter is likewise highly underrated by the general audience. Tasked with containing the dangerous Jarrod Bowen, he didn’t give West Ham’s talisman a sniff throughout the game.

On top of this, Lewis-Potter also notched up an assist when he found Mikkel Damsgaard for Brentford’s third goal – this was a complete full-back performance.

CB: Marcos Senesi

Marcos Senesi showed everyone why he’s one of the best ball-playing defenders in the Premier League with a commanding display against Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.

Palace offered little in the way of a threat in truth, but Senesi’s passing and movement on the ball was sensational – Bournemouth must brace themselves for his departure in the summer, especially with his contract due to expire in the summer.

CB: Sepp van den Berg

The third Brentford player in our XI – Sepp van den Berg marshalled his backline with authority well beyond his years against West Ham.

Aerially dominant and strong in the tackle, the Dutchman did everything you could’ve asked from him en route to keeping a clean sheet.

LB: Dan Burn

It has been a difficult campaign for Newcastle United and Dan Burn in 2025/26, but they put that aside to score a much-needed win over an in-form Brighton outfit at the weekend.

Burn couldn’t keep a clean sheet, but managed to be effective at the other end of the pitch – he scored Newcastle’s second goal of the game in a 3-1 victory.

RM: Bukayo Saka

Bukayo Saka seems to be finding form just in time for England’s 2026 World Cup campaign. Good news for England fans – even better news for Arsenal supporters.

Saka was on fire against Fulham. The Gunners contained the Cottagers with consummate ease, with Saka notching up a brace over their London rivals.

CM: Alex Scott

Alex Scott makes it into our team of the week once again. A graceful, cultured footballer, Crystal Palace’s midfielders could not get near him as he dictated the tempo of the game.

Ruling over the middle of the park with an iron fist, he was instrumental in the Cherries’ impressive 3-0 win over the Eagles.

CM: Mikkel Damsgaard

Mikkel Damsgaard is yet another under-valued Brentford superstar who was fantastic at the weekend against West Ham. Despite playing in an advanced role, he rarely misplaced a pass, even under pressure.

Not only this, the Danish international also netted the Bees’ third goal of the outing as the comfortably swept the Irons aside.

LM: Jeremy Doku

Jeremy Doku was Manchester City’s saviour at the weekend. It may not have been enough, but he at least kept the Sky Blues in with a shout of winning the title at the end of the season.

Scoring a spectacular effort in the first half, he then netted a late equaliser to spare City’s blushes – without him, the title would be firmly in Arsenal’s grasp.

ST: Taiwo Awoniyi

No one saw this coming. Nottingham Forest – even with many of their first-team players rested – absolutely obliterated Chelsea at the weekend, with Awoniyi being the clear star of the show.

Scoring a brace to compound the Blues woes, Forest’s survival now looks to be all but confirmed – Chelsea, on the other hand, are looking at a season without European football in 2026/27.

ST: Viktor Gyokeres

Viktor Gyokeres’ goalscoring credentials have been called into question on more than a few occasions this season, but he showed how lethal he can be in front of goal against Fulham.

This was one of his best performances in an Arsenal shirt to date, bullying Fulham’s defenders and notching up a brace amid their title charge.
