Wolverhampton Wanderers hit the road for the first time in the 2026-27 EFL Championship season when they take on Preston North End at Deepdale on Saturday. Wolves will be seeking their first win under new head coach Cesar Peixoto after a draw in the first game of the season, while Preston will be hoping to bounce back from a poor defeat to Bolton Wanderers on the opening weekend.

Wolves are one of the favourites to be promoted after dropping to the Premier League last season. Preston, on the other hand, will be looking to home-field advantage to help them get a positive result against one of the division’s best teams.
