On the latest episode of the Ensemble PSG Podcast, Robin Bairner, chief editor at Football Transfers, spoke about the upcoming Super Cup and shared his thoughts on the capital club being the favorite to secure another trophy in 2025.
“Do they have enough firepower to trouble PSG? We’ve seen Son [Heung-min] leave to LAFC, James Maddison is injured, [and] Dejan Kulusevski, who’s another one of their major creative players, is injured. So Tottenham are certainly not without their problems coming into this match either. And of course, it will be their first competitive game of the season too.
“So there [are] some huge unknowns around this game. I would still fancy PSG simply on the basis of how good they were last season and, to some extent, how bad Tottenham were. But it’s going to be a really interesting match. It’s literally one that PSG could win by three goals or really struggle in. I would still tip PSG to win it, though.”
