Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma completed his much-rumoured switch from PSG to Manchester City this morning, after the clubs got a deal over the line as the transfer window slammed shut yesterday night.

In a statement on their official website, PSG thanked Donnarumma by expressing “sincere gratitude to Gianluigi for all he has contributed to the club and wishes him the very best for the future of his career.”

The former Milan shot-stopper joins up with Pep Guardiola in the north of England for a reported fee in the region of €30 million, with sources claiming that the 26-year-old will earn a staggering minimum of €15 million per season for the next five years.

PSG celebrate historic Donnarumma

Although his spell in the French capital ended on a sour note, with the Italian effectively forced out of the club after the side chose to sign Lucas Chevalier from Lille, the club took time to celebrate all the goalkeeper has achieved since his move from Milan.

The club posted a video on their website with some of the Italian’s finest moments at PSG, including some of his impressive saves that helped guide the club to their first ever Champions League title last season, keeping a clean sheet in the Parisian side’s 5-0 final win over Inter.
