PSG Surpasses Bayern Munich, Real Madrid With Impressive Champions League Record

Paris Saint-Germain is the best team in the world. It is a status it earned after being crowned champion of the UEFA Champions League last season by playing exceptionally.

This season, PSG is on the same path. It leads Ligue 1 and has a near-perfect record in the Champions League.

After a year in which it won everything collectively, and did not disappoint individually with Ousmane Dembélé winning the Ballon d'Or and Achraf Hakimi being named the best African player, the Parisians remain unstoppable today.

With its recent 5-3 victory over Tottenham Hotspur, the team it beat in the UEFA Super Cup early this season, it broke an impressive record in Europe, leaving giant clubs behind.

PSG Surpasses Bayern, Real Madrid for Most Champions League Wins in a Year

After the match against Spurs, PSG became the club with the most wins in a calendar year in the history of the UEFA Champions League.

Since the start of 2025, the Rouge et Bleu have accumulated 13 victories, surpassing both Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

The German club recorded 12 wins in 2001, while the Spanish capital club recorded the same figure more recently, in 2014.

It is too early to predict the champion, but PSG has what it takes to be on the podium again. It retained the most important part of its squad from last year, except for Gianluigi Donnarumma, who signed with Manchester City. But Luis Enrique has reiterated his confidence in his new goalkeeper, Lucas Chevalier, on multiple occasions.
