PSG Urged to Make Blunt Decision on Liverpool Transfer Target

Amid the transfer rumors linking Barcola away from the French capital, RMC Sport commentator Daniel Riolo didn’t hold back his criticism of Barcola. Moreover, he’s urging the Parisians to cash in on the player.

“If you asked me tomorrow to pick [Ademola] Lookman over Barcola to play on the wing, I’d say yes, go for it,” Daniel Riolo said during After Foot on RMC radio Wednesday night (h/t Le10Sport). “Lookman for Barcola? Absolutely.”

Riolo’s take comes before the Thursday report from CaughtOffside that Liverpool have begun early planning for potential replacements for Mohamed Salah, with Bradley Barcola among their targets.

The outlet also noted that PSG would prefer to keep Barcola and might even offer him a new contract, despite his current deal running through 2028. Still, a move to Liverpool is seen as a realistic possibility.

“Liverpool have already begun background work on replacing Salah,” one well-placed figure in the industry told me. “A player they really like, and have been following closely for some time, is Bradley Barcola.”
