So, who could the French giants target? PSG expert Robin Bairner wrote in his latest column for Ensemble PSG that Girona’s Arnau Martinez, who was reportedly on Arsenal’s radar this past summer, as a player that they should consider pursuing for depth at full-back.

“Another option could be Girona’s Arnau Martinez,” Bairner wrote. “The 22-year-old has already captained the La Liga side, whose poor form could be used to prise him away. Left-back is an area that deserves attention, but probably not until the summer of 2026.

In August, it was reported by Foot Mercato that Arsenal submitted a €10 million offer for Arnau Martínez. Manager Mikel Arteta is reportedly looking to strengthen the right-back position following Takehiro Tomiyasu’s departure. The offer was said to include an €8 million upfront fee, with an additional €2 million in performance-related add-ons.
