Paris Saint-Germain could be in some trouble once August rolls around.
PSG forward Kylian Mbappe is a "major doubt" to face Atalanta in the Champions League on Aug. 12, according to ESPN's Julien Laurens.
Mbappe suffered a serious ankle sprain in the French Cup Final against Saint-Etienne on Friday at Stade de France, and the initial analysis is less serious than PSG originally feared.
The 21-year-old was injured by a horrific tackle from Loic Perrin not even a half-hour into the match.
Scans and X-rays revealed that no ligaments were damaged by the tackle, though Mbappe will remain in a cast and use crutches to walk.
More scans will be done on Mbappe's ankle next week, sources told Laurens, and it's very unlikely that he competes in the League Cup Final against Lyon on Friday.
