According to the latest reports, Sevilla player Rafa Mir has put Torino on hold while he considers other alternatives, including Valencia.

The former Wolves forward had been named as a target for the Granata, who were hoping to pick him up on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.

The two clubs were seemingly in advanced negotiations and very close to shaking hands on a deal when suddenly the players slammed on the brakes.

Sky Sport Italia suggest this evening that Rafa Mir would prefer to remain in LaLiga and specifically is aiming for a return to his former club Valencia.

The 26-year-old started his career in the Valencia academy, moving on to Las Palmas, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Huesca before the transfer to Sevilla for €16m in the summer of 2021.

He has scored three goals with one assist in 20 appearances for Sevilla so far this season.
