Rafael Leao has addressed his future once again.
This comes amid continued links with a move to the Premier League.
Manchester United have been heavily linked with attacking reinforcements ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
A new left winger has remained one of the club’s priorities despite midfield additions taking centre stage.
Leao is one of several names to have emerged on United’s shortlist in recent months.
Last month, the Portugal international admitted he followed Manchester United growing up because of Cristiano Ronaldo.
That revelation immediately caught the attention of supporters.
The 26-year-old has also been at the centre of increasing transfer speculation.
He confirmed at the end of last month that he intends to leave AC Milan this summer, bringing an end to a successful spell in Italy.
Reports have since suggested that both United and Arsenal have made contact regarding a potential move.
The Premier League duo have been monitoring developments closely.
Now, Rafael Leao has offered another significant update on his future.
Speaking while away with Portugal ahead of the World Cup, the AC Milan winger admitted he is ready for a new challenge.
He suggested that a move to either the Premier League or La Liga would suit his style of play.
According to Metro, Leao said: “I need a new challenge. I already won two trophies in Italy and have been there for a while.”
He added: “The Premier League or La Liga would make more of my talent, as a player.”
Leao also made it clear that he would welcome an opportunity to play in England.
“If a Premier League opportunity were to come along, I would be very happy,” he explained.
The Portuguese forward enjoyed another productive season with Milan.
He scored nine goals and registered three assists in Serie A.
With AC Milan open to a sale and Leao publicly discussing a potential move elsewhere, speculation surrounding his future is only likely to intensify.
For Manchester United, the latest comments will undoubtedly add further intrigue as the club continues assessing attacking options ahead of the new season.
