Rafael Leao gave a sarcastic response to yet more insults from Antonio Cassano, who has long been bitterly critical of the Milan star.
The feud between the pair has been rumbling on for a few years, but seems to have intensified in recent months.
Cassano has launched several angry tirades at him in his podcast appearances, most recently noting that the Portugal international “looks like he’s playing to impress girls, not to win football matches.”
When he spotted that quote on social media, Leao decided to hit back with pure sarcasm.
“He loves me so much,” wrote the 26-year-old, followed by some crying emojis.

It is hardly the first time that the player decided to respond to his critic via X, formerly known as Twitter, and the back and forth just keeps intensifying the feud.
In May, the striker stood up for new Milan coach Max Allegri after Cassano rather outlandishly suggested he had won the Scudetto at San Siro “because he had me.”
