RB Leipzig are preparing to take defensive action regarding one of their most in-demand players Yan Diomande, amid growing interest from several elite clubs across Europe.

The German Bundesliga side are keen to protect their position heading into what could be a defining summer.

According to Sky Sports Germany, Leipzig are now planning internal contract adjustments for Yan Diomande, as they look to strengthen their stance and reward his rapid development.

The proposed changes are understood to centre around performance-based incentives, which would see the player’s salary increase depending on his contributions on the pitch.

It reflects both his importance to the team and the level of attention he is now attracting.

However, one detail remains unchanged.

Leipzig are not planning to include a release clause in any revised agreement, ensuring they retain full control over the player’s future despite growing external pressure.

Their intention is clear.

The German club want to keep Diomande for at least another season, though he is not considered untouchable if a significant offer arrives.

Reports suggest Leipzig’s valuation currently starts at around €100 million and could rise further depending on demand and performances.

Interest in the Ivorian forward has been building rapidly in recent weeks.

Earlier this month, Fabrizio Romano revealed that Manchester United scouts were in attendance during Leipzig’s win over Augsburg, in which Diomande found the net.

Premier League interest does not stop there.

Jurgen Klopp has reportedly urged Liverpool to pursue a deal, with the club identifying Yan Diomande as a potential long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah.

Competition is also intensifying elsewhere.

Paris Saint-Germain have joined the race for Diomande, further increasing the pressure on Leipzig to act swiftly.

With multiple European giants circling, Leipzig’s proactive approach underlines their determination to stay firmly in control of one of the continent’s most exciting attacking prospects.
