According to transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano, RB Leipzig have lodged an offer worth €25m to sign Napoli midfielder Eljif Elmas.
The 24-year-old is under contract with the Partenopei until June 2025, but has never been able to hold down a regular place in the starting XI.
He did not disguise his frustration at the lack of playing time and an exit had already been considered over the summer, but contributed two goals in 16 appearances this term between Serie A and the Champions League.
Things were just starting to improve with the arrival of new coach Walter Mazzarri to replace Rudi Garcia, but then Elmas sustained a femoral bicep strain and will be out until early January.
Napoli paid €16.2m to sign Elmas from Fenerbahce in 2019, but as part of that original deal owe the Turkish side a further €1.5m at the moment he is sold on.
The North Macedonia international has 12 goals in 52 senior caps for his country.
