Fans of Manchester United couldn’t help but notice how focused Casemiro looked after a photo of him training under Ruben Amorim made the rounds.

The Red Devils are gearing up for their pre-season schedule, which will take them across Europe and the United States, with the tour set to begin this month.

On Monday, the first group of players arrived at Carrington for what was Ruben Amorim’s first pre-season session as head coach. More players have since joined as preparations continue to ramp up.

By Thursday, a second group of first-team players had checked in at Carrington, with Casemiro among those joining up with the squad.

Casemiro had been away from Old Trafford since the end of the 2024-25 Premier League season and Manchester United’s two-match post-season tour of Asia. He then spent time back in Brazil after being recalled by former Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti.

The midfielder returned to international duty under Ancelotti and has been representing his country over the summer. Now back in Manchester, he’s getting ready for another campaign with United under new management.

Man Utd fans react to how Casemiro looks after he reported for 2025 pre-season training at Carrington

Casemiro’s physical shape hasn’t gone unnoticed by Manchester United fans, who took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their thoughts after seeing him in pre-season training.

Photos from the opening week at Carrington appeared on United’s official social media accounts, showing a noticeably leaner Casemiro.

One fan posted: “I doubt Casemiro [has] been more fit in his career, he is serious about next season.”

Another said: “This is a man going for the league title!”

A third added simply: “Casemiro looks ready for next season.”

A fourth commented: “Ready to prove everyone wrong.”

While a fifth suggested: “Man looks like he’s going to lift a trophy this season.”

Somebody else claimed: “Whatever you think of [Casemiro] – the fact that he’s still hungry for more and [comes] back looking like this for pre-season is incredible. Proper professional.”

Casemiro could be gearing up for a ‘last dance’ with Man Utd

Rumours about a potential Casemiro departure from Man United have become frequent since his debut season. Many reports pointed to his expensive contract as the reason behind the Red Devils’ intention to negotiate a transfer.

However, those speculations were never confirmed. Now, the Brazilian midfielder has just one year left on his contract and could leave Old Trafford on a free transfer for the 2026/27 season.

On the other hand, the former Real Madrid star found his rhythm again during the second half of last season under Ruben Amorim, showing flashes of his old form.

With the 2026 World Cup on the horizon, Casemiro has plenty to play for. His return to Brazil’s national team gives him another shot at making the squad for North America.

Since his debut season at Old Trafford under Erik ten Hag, Casemiro has faced criticism over his form and consistency.
