Things at Real Madrid are getting ugly.
Midfield stars Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni were each fined €500,000 after an explosive training-ground fight that reportedly left Valverde hospitalized with a head injury.
According to reports, tensions boiled over during training at Real Madrid’s Valdebebas facility. What started as an argument escalated into a physical altercation severe enough for Valverde to suffer head trauma, with reports saying he needed stitches and was ruled out of this weekend’s massive El Clásico against FC Barcelona.

Real Madrid released a statement confirming both players apologized to each other, teammates, coaches and fans before the club handed down massive financial punishments.
And honestly, this feels like the perfect summary of Madrid’s disastrous season.
This was supposed to be a superteam. Instead, the club is drowning in drama. They are staring at a possible trophyless season, already crashed out of the Champions League, and now heading into a season-defining Clásico with their locker room seemingly falling apart.
The timing could not be worse. Barcelona only needs a draw to take control of the La Liga title race, while Madrid enters the match surrounded by chaos, injuries and nonstop controversy.
What makes this even crazier is that Valverde and Tchouaméni are supposed to be part of Madrid’s long-term core. These are not fringe squad players. These are leaders of the next era. Yet frustration inside the club has apparently reached a boiling point after months of pressure, criticism and failed expectations.
Real Madrid usually prides itself on professionalism and composure. Right now, they look completely broken.
