Recently released Manchester United player officially confirms Burnley transfer

Just days remaining in the transfer window, and with the league season now three games in, Burnley appear to be in a slump.

The Clarets, relegated from the Premier League last season, have lost two of their three opening Championship matches of the season and were knocked out of the EFL Cup by Bradford City earlier this week.

Having made eight signings during the summer transfer window, the spotlight was on the club to see if they could make the automatic return to the Premier League.

For now, that possibility appears to be far in the distance with some supporters even debating whether the side will stay up this season.

Away from the men’s first team, other areas of the club are aiming to thrive including the Academy.

Taking to Instagram, recently released Manchester United player Mylee Dunbar has now announced her move to Burnley.

Posting on the social media platform, she published a photo with her new kit on alongside a second photo reading: “there is always an opportunity to learn and grow.”

Captioning the post, Mylee Dunbar said: “After leaving my childhood club @manutd a couple of months ago I was unsure if I wanted a new team for the upcoming season.

“I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to join @burnleyofficial and I’m looking forward to seeing what this year brings for me.

“Thankful to have the opportunity to play alongside new players, learn new things and most importantly, just enjoy football again.”

Dunbar confirmed her departure from Manchester United earlier this summer after eight years at the club, with this new chance offering the player a opportunity to improve once again.

She will play for Burnley Under-16s during this season, and will train with the side too.
