Report – AC Milan Intensify Efforts To Hijack Inter Pursuit Of Highly-Rated Parma Defender

AC Milan are seemingly determined to beat fierce rivals Inter to the signature of in-demand Parma defender Giovanni Leoni.

Per Sky Sport via FCInterNews, Parma will only negotiate the youngster’s departure if they receive a mind-blowing offer.

Giovanni Leoni is the subject of a transfer tug-of-war between the San Siro clubs.

Indeed, both teams are keen to take him away from Stadio Ennio Tardini.

However, whether they are willing to match Parma’s demands remains uncertain.

Parma’s initial demands have gone up amid growing interest for the 18-year-old.

Indeed, the Crusaders have reportedly set a €30 million price tag on Leoni and will only consider selling him if they receive that amount.

Otherwise, the only way to convince Parma to sanction Leoni’s exit would be to let the youngster stay for another season.

Yet, it’s hard to see Milan or Inter leaving the Italian center-back at Tardini next term.

Both teams need defensive reinforcements now.

With that in mind, this could be one of the longest-running summer sagas.
