Chelsea are among the clubs strongly interested in Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, but will face competition according to reports in Italy.
The Blues made five attacking signings in the summer as their front line underwent a major revamp, with four attacker also leaving.
Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, Alejandro Garnacho, Jamie Gittens and Facundo Buonanotte all arrived at Stamford Bridge, and the Blues will be hoping they deliver this season.
It’s not long until the January window opens, but already rumours have started over potential moves, and Chelsea seem to be constantly linked with players.
According to TuttoJuve Chelsea are interested in Vlahovic, who’s out of contract at the end of the season, with Manchester United also in the race.
The report adds Tottenham are said to be in pole position for the Serbian, but Chelsea and United are ready to challenge the north London club for his signature.
Vlahovic is expected to leave Juventus on a free transfer, but given Chelsea already have Pedro and Delap it’s difficult to see where the 25-year-old fits in.
The former Fiorentina man is reportedly on very high wages, which it appears Chelsea would be unlikely to match.
Vlahovic has scored four goals in nine appearances in all competitions this season, and there’s likely to be a hotly contested race for his signature in the summer.
Although Chelsea are being linked with Vlahovic, they already have a striker arriving next summer in the shape of Emanuel Emegha.
Emegha has signed a seven year contract at Stamford Bridge, and will join from Strasbourg at the end of the season.
The 22-year-old scored 14 Ligue 1 goals last season, and will add another profile to Chelsea’s attacking options under Enzo Maresca next season.
