Former Ajax and OGC Nice manager Francesco Farioli could replace Inter Milan-bound Cesc Fabregas at Como.

Per The Province of Como via FCInterNews, Roberto De Zerbi’s ex-assistant is the number-one candidate to take the Spaniard’s place.

Cesc Fabregas is seemingly on the verge of becoming the new Inter Milan boss.

Indeed, Beppe Marotta is working around the clock to arrange his arrival after bidding farewell to Simone Inzaghi.

Therefore, Como’s search for a new head coach has begun.

Francesco Farioli Named Top Candidate to Replace Cesc Fabregas at Como

Farioli ended his season-long association with Ajax at the end of a disappointing 2024/25 season.

Indeed, the Lancers finished second to PSV Eindhoven in an intense Eredivisie title race despite leading the charge for most of the season.

Therefore, he could return to his homeland this summer to take charge of Como.

Interestingly, Farioli has never worked as a head coach in Italy.

He was De Zerbi’s assistant at Sassuolo before embarking on his solo career in Turkey.

Before joining Ajax last summer, he managed Nice, Alanyaspor, and Fatih Karagumruk.
