Report: David Beckham targeting Barcelona's Luis Suarez to be face of Inter Miami CF

Could Luis Suarez eventually land in Major League Soccer? It certainly is a possibility.

David Beckham, who owns Inter Miami CF, is reportedly looking to add a big name star to his organization via the transfer market. The former L.A. Galaxy star is targeting Barcelona's Suarez, according to Mundo Deportivo.

However, Suarez reportedly is set on remaining with Barcelona until his contract expires. The 33-year-old's deal expires next year, but will automatically renew if he plays 60 percent of next season's games. If Suarez remains in Europe, he won't be available to play in the MLS until he's at least 35-years-old.

Inter Miami have been linked to Suarez in the past. The team reportedly tried to land him before their inaugural season began.

According to Sky Sports, Inter Miami have also been in contact with Chelsea winger Willian, though Barcelona reportedly is interested in his services as well.

Inter Miami's debut season has been less than ideal. The team didn't win a single match, and the coronavirus pandemic greatly shortened their season.

Adding either Suarez or Willian would help get Inter Miami going, though they'll also need to add talent elsewhere as well.
